The Full Story

Born and raised in Oklahoma, I decided to head west as soon as I was able. I attended graduate school at the University of Colorado at Boulder where I earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology. I then spent a year training with the University of California, San Diego's Department of Psychiatry where I learned how to apply the therapy skills I had learned during graduate school to help people manage health conditions like insomnia, obesity, and chronic pain. I became fascinated with the idea of meeting people at the confluence of their physical and psychological health and helping them learn skills that could help improve their overall well-being.

In 2013, my wife and I moved to Boise where I could launch a career focusing on health psychology and she could pursue a career in nursing. I have worked in multiple health care settings including primary care and speciality medical and behavioral health clinics. Most recently, I have developed expertise in treating insomnia and have helped hundreds of Idahoans improve their sleep over the last few years.

My family and I love spending time in the outdoors (like most Idahoans!), and when I'm not helping people improve their lives through health behavior change, you will likely find me fly fishing, cycling, snowboarding and enjoying live music in the Treasure Valley.
